Ure Family Reunion and the 4th

For our family reunion we hiked up to the Timpinogos caves. It scared me to death. I'm not one for steep cliff drop offs about a foot away from where I am walking. Especially when I'm watching my kids hike it. Yuk. I hugged the wall practically the whole way up. Anyway, this is Jen, Matt, and their family. Chuga chuga chuga. It was a tuff hike.

Camri, Joshua, Sierra, and Ashton. Such troopers.

Nicki, Diedre, Trevor, and Darren. Yes, we all looked quite exausted at the top.

Nell and Tiff

Jen and I were testing our flashes inside the dark caves. Obviously, they worked.

Lake inside the cave.

Heart of the cave. Okay, so in all honesty I just wanted to run through these caves. We had a tour guide and it about killed me. Information like that does not stick in my brain. I hiked up with my baby in a backpack and we had to take our backpacks off before we went into the caves. So I had to hold him the entire time inside the caves because he fell asleep. And if you've been inside these caves, you know you have to squat and suck in and all of the above and I had Tyler in my arms the whole time. Then Joshua fell asleep in my nieces arms and she was about to die, so I had to give my baby away and hold Josh. It about killed me. The tour guide had no simpathy, he just kept talking away. If I had a gun, I don't know what I would have done with it. J/K :0)

The fourth was pretty eventful. We decided to take our kids up to the fair grounds for the fireworks. We had a huge storm while we were up there. It hailed and thundered and I got completely soaked. So we came home and our street was flooded along with every other street in Chubbuck. It was crazy.

Our beautiful Hostas and Coral bells got thrashed. So sad.

This is the park behind my neighbors house the day after the storm. Yes, it was completely dry the morning before.

Great job and making in through the hike!! We were out of town for the flood and came back to see lots of pictures and hear story's. Crazy! It flooded Jim's parents basement. We have been helping pull carpet up.

I want to go hike Timpanogis. Looks like a good time with the fam minus the annoying tour guide. I am with you when it comes to that as well as the steep cliffs.
