Valentines Date

Rob took me on a very fun Valentines date this year. And since he was in charge, he didn't think about taking a camera, so I will just have to write about it. He told me about three weeks ago not to plan anything for Valentines night. He was surprising me. I love surprises. Anyway, so I got a babysitter (thank you Jaci) and Rob made the plans. He blindfolded me at about 6 p.m. and someone came to pick us up. So I didn't even know who we were going out with. Then he led me through the snow to the car and I hear our friends Natalie and Chad talking. Chad drove us around, making it seem like we were going up into the mountains or something. It was hillarious. It seemed liked we were on dirt roads when really we were just driving on the side of the road. I bet we looked awesome. It also seemed like we were driving in a bunch of snow drifts. He was just driving in a trailer park where the snow on the road hadn't completely melted. And because we were blindfolded our equilibriam was a little off. Natalie kept saying things like "Chad we're upside down," and then he stopped and said "I need to check this out." He and Rob were such good little actors. Natalie and I were wondering if he really needed to check something out or not and Rob said "If you knew what we were looking at..." Then we drove over something huge. I don't know what. Anyway, they just took us to Chad and Natalie's camper that was parked on Philbin. It was so cute. They made us a delicious dinner and we played games. It was so much fun. I was totally impressed. Good job Rob.

Our pictures files on our computer go pretty far back. This actually isn't the 6th picture in that file, though. The 6th picture was all fuzzy and you couldn't really see what was happening. Don't know why it's still there. Anyway, this is Sierra when she was about a year old, I think. I remember she was pretty sick. Her nose was running down her face, and she looked miserable. Her hair's a little psycho too. I still think she looks pretty adorable. Just look at those cheeks.

We Love Daddy

I know I seem to post a lot lately, but I just thought that these pictures were so cute. Tyler looked like he was practically falling off of the couch and they were both out. The rest are just the kids loving on their dad. And I added a picture of Sierra skiing. We went again yesterday, and kept the camera warm this time.

Sierra's Ballet

Today was parent observation day in Sierra's ballet class. They don't let the parents watch the normal classes because it's distracting for the kids. So they have one day during the year that we can come in and take pictures and videos and see what they've been learning during the year. After that they start practicing their dance for spring recital. So here are some pictures of her cute class. I also took a couple of recordings. There is no sound however.

In this video Sierra is the one in the back behind the girl in pigtail buns. At the end when they curtsy she kind of disappears for a second. Anyway, I thought it was kind of cute.

Our Ski Trip

Rob and I took Sierra skiing for her first time yesterday! Ahhh! It was great. We tried to take pictures, but our camera got too cold and wouldn't work for us up there. So I will just have to write about it. So, I thought that teaching Sierra was going to be simple. After our first run down, however, I thought differently. It was pretty cold up there and after our first run I was sweating like crazy because I was trying all of these different ways to help her. First we tried to have her ski behind me and hold onto my bottom. She flew right between my legs. Then I tried to hold her up in front of me between my skis. I could only do that for about 1 minute. After that one I had to sit down in the middle of the hill and take my skis and boots off. My feet hurt from barely moving so there wasn't any circulation getting down to my feet because my boots were so tight. (They're the kind of ski boots that you really have to move in and we moved ten feet in about 1/2 of an hour.) Then I saw a lady skiing backward and having her son hang onto her pole while she pulled and instructed him. So I tried that. That didn't work either. She just wasn't getting the concept. Luckily my sister Tiffani and her family was there because she showed me how to hold my poles under Sierra's arms with Sierra between my legs. That way I wasn't carrying all of her weight. So I tried that. It worked! She got the feel of it. Also, she is a little competitive. She doesn't like to feel like she's the one that can't do it. So it was really nice to have cousin Ashton there. Ashton has been skiing before and was doing it on her own about the third time down and when Sierra saw that, I could tell that it gave her incentive to do it on her own too. She was able to go down the hill by herself on the very last run. We were determined to let her get at least one run in by herself and the lift was closing. I thought they were going to stop the lift before we were going to get down. Then we would have had to hike up the hill. However, they waited for us. When we finally got down. We got on the lift and they turned off all the lights. SHE DID IT! IT WAS AWESOME! Needless to say, we are very proud of her, and my body is about to give out on me today, but it was all worth it. Sierra can ski.

CHRISTMAS...YEAH!!!

So we started a new Christmas tradition this year. We had a sleep over in our room with the kids. We put them in their sleeping bags on the floor because we didn't want them to wake up and wander into the living room on their way into our rooom and see Santa's presents early. That way we could all wander into the living room and look together. It was pretty fun!

Ooooh...the anticipation!:)

Santa brought our family the High School Musical dance mat and playstation game and sleds, he brought Sierra a cupcake making set (yeah for me!), he brought Joshua a hot wheels stunt set, and he brought Tyler noahs ark. So fun!

We opened presents youngest to oldest. So no, that is not my outfit, it is Tylers.

As you can see Joshua did not hesitate to break into his stocking candy right away.My sweet niece, Hailey, made Joshua and Tyler these adorable stocking caps. She did such a good job. I love them.

Our Christmas mess. Oodles of fun.

I got to help Sierra make cupcakes right after breakfast. I'm actually really glad that she got a present that she will play with this year. It's taken me a while to figure her out.

Sierra got a couple of 100 piece puzzles also. She put one all together by herself. No help. I was pretty darn impressed.

Joshua loves the stunt set that Santa brought. I was pretty intrigued with it too.

All in all, we had great fun!

Sierra's birthday

We have a 6 year old! I know, we're too young. Sierra turned 6 on December 5. Crazy dazy. Doesn't she look so cute in her new outfit? I love having a girl. She is the funnest little person to shop for. Rob would probably beg to differ. He's had to wait for Sierra and I while Sierra's tried on every outfit we'd let her get her hands on. I think he would have thrown us out of the store if he could. In the past we've thrown her a birthday party. They've been psycho. Sierra's cried at both of them, and my house is too small for so many kids to run around in. So this year we told her she could have one friend over. It was great. She invited her cousin and best friend Ashton. And since it was cousin Ashton, she stayed the night. Anyway, I think it was one of her best birthdays.

We taught Sierra and Ashton how to leg wrestle. They spent a lot of the rest of the evening and next day flipping eachother over. Sierra has a few bruises.

She wanted a pony cake. I did the best I could.

The best part! They literally slept in a box together.
